This part is made for a computer

Dorris on a computer is laid out for a big screen, and on a phone it's too cramped to click around in. Open this page on a computer to see every tool. Or try the iPhone app here: it has the same made-up customers, but only a few of the tools.

A real Dorris, with a made-up store. The screens Tim's store uses every day. Every customer, order and number in it is invented.

  1. 1Inbound label

    Tracking 1Z999AA10300000016.

  2. 2Received & tested

Slow leak, flat by morning. Dunk test found a pinhole on the underside near the foot end; the valve holds.

  3. 3Repair

On the bench. Record the parts pulled as you go.

  4. 4Return & charge

Buys the outbound label and sends the $20.00 repair invoice in one action.

Stages only move forward — the item is physically where the board says it is.

What they pay

Parts

Nothing added. Parts appear as their own lines on the invoice.

Invoice total

$20.00

Send it back

Buys the label back to the customer, raises the $20.00 invoice, then moves the repair and emails them. Nothing moves unless both actually happen.

How the fee works

Labour plus any parts you added is what the customer is invoiced, and it is raised as the item goes back out — that is what the “send it in” email promises them. Set the fee to zero and nothing is charged: a repair that turned out not to be fixable ships back for free.
