Agent

An agent is a program you talk to in plain English that can read and change files on your computer, run commands, and tell you what it did.

Also called: coding agent, AI agent

You give it a goal and it takes the steps itself, the difference from a chat window, which only hands you instructions to carry out.

For a shop owner that is the whole point. You describe the tool you want in the words you would use with your bookkeeper, and it writes the code.

The mistake is treating it like a vending machine. It will do the wrong thing confidently and at speed. Your job is not to write code, it is to read what it proposes, ask why, and say no sometimes.

Something broke

I just did this: <what you clicked or typed, in a few words>
This is what I got: <paste the error here, or drag in a screenshot>

I don't know what it means. Work out what went wrong and fix it. Then tell me in one plain sentence what was wrong and what you changed, and stop.
