Deploy log

A deploy log is the running commentary of one attempt to put your app online, and the first thing to read when a deploy fails.

Also called: build log, the deploy output

When you deploy, your host narrates as it goes: taking your code, assembling it, starting the app. There is one for every attempt.

It is not the app's own log. This one covers the few minutes around going live; that one covers everything the app does for the rest of its life.

Find yours before you need it. When a deploy fails, the reason is in there, usually well above the last line, so hand your agent the whole thing, not the part you thought looked important.

Something broke

I just did this: <what you clicked or typed, in a few words>
This is what I got: <paste the error here, or drag in a screenshot>

I don't know what it means. Work out what went wrong and fix it. Then tell me in one plain sentence what was wrong and what you changed, and stop.
