MCP

MCP is a standard way to connect an AI agent to an outside service, so it can read from that service or act in it.

Also called: Model Context Protocol, connector

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It plugs your agent into a service, your store, your calendar, a set of files, so it can look things up there instead of guessing. Think of it as a plug shape: the service builds one socket, and any agent with the matching plug can use it.

You will meet it the first time you want your agent to answer a question about real data, not about the files in front of it.

The thing people get wrong is hearing MCP and thinking intelligence. It is plumbing. A connection carries exactly the permission you handed it, and one that can change an order can change an order.

Something broke

I just did this: <what you clicked or typed, in a few words>
This is what I got: <paste the error here, or drag in a screenshot>

I don't know what it means. Work out what went wrong and fix it. Then tell me in one plain sentence what was wrong and what you changed, and stop.
