Sandbox

A sandbox is a copy of something where breaking it costs nothing, because nothing real is connected to it.

Also called: scratch copy, a safe place to break things

It's a place set up for making a mess: same app, same screens, invented data, nobody waiting. The worst thing you can do is undo it.

The app on your own machine is one for the first stretch of this course. It arrives full of made-up messages and made-up orders, connected to nothing, which is exactly why you can hand it to an agent and let it try things.

The word is doing real work, so notice when you leave it: connecting your store is one exit, putting the app online is the other.

Paste this first

Something broke

I just did this: <what you clicked or typed, in a few words>
This is what I got: <paste the error here, or drag in a screenshot>

I don't know what it means. Work out what went wrong and fix it. Then tell me in one plain sentence what was wrong and what you changed, and stop.
