Subagent

A subagent is a helper an agent starts to do one job, which knows only what it was told and then disappears.

Also called: sub-agent, task agent

Your agent starts one for a single job. It begins with a clean slate, no memory of your conversation, does the job, hands back a short answer, and disappears.

You'll meet them when a task gets big enough that one agent starts losing the thread: reviewing a large change, searching a project you've grown for months, drafting several files at once.

The thing worth knowing is that a subagent only knows what it was handed at the start. When one ignores an instruction you gave half an hour ago, it never heard it.

Something broke

I just did this: <what you clicked or typed, in a few words>
This is what I got: <paste the error here, or drag in a screenshot>

I don't know what it means. Work out what went wrong and fix it. Then tell me in one plain sentence what was wrong and what you changed, and stop.
